VirtusLab Bazel Con 2025 Contest
1. Organizer
- The organizer of the VirtusLab Bazel Con 2025 Raffle for the best answer (the Answer) to a question: ‘What is your biggest challenge with Bazel?’ (the Contest) is Virtus Lab Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Rzeszów (35-211), ul. Zofii Nałkowskiej 23, entered in the Register of Entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court in Rzeszów, 12th Commercial Division of the National Court Register under KRS number: 00003409785, with a share capital of PLN 10,000, NIP (Tax Identification Number): PL517031965, REGON (National Business Registry Number): 180526627 (the Organizer). The Contest is held by the Organizer’s Management Board.
2. Object and Terms of the Contest
- The aim of the Contest is to identify the best Answer to the question: ‘What is your biggest challenge with Bazel?’, characterized by the high level of complexity.
- The best Answer shall be selected by a jury consisting of: Krzysztof Romanowski, Tomasz Orzechowski, and Lukasz Wawrzyk (the Jury). The Jury has been appointed by the Organizer’s Management Board.
- The Contest is open for all interested participants, in particular those taking part in the Bazel Con 2025 (the Participant).
- The Organizer shall hold the Contest in compliance with these rules (the Rules).
3. Participation in the Contest
- In order to register to participate in the Contest, the Participants have to provide a reply, i.e. the Answer, by means of filling out a form provided by the Organizer (the Form) at this link: https://landing.virtuslab.com/bazelcon_contest.
- Further, in order to participate, the Participants have to provide their data for contact purposes in any Contest- and Bazel-related issues, including by filling in the Form, and to accept the Rules.
- The Answers have to be provided from 11/10/2025 until 11/11/2025 12:00 p.m. (GMT-5).
- It is inadmissible:
- for the same Participant to send more than one Answer;
- to send any Answer not created by the Participant in question;
- to send any Answer created collectively;
- to send any offensive or illegal Answer.
- The Organizer shall not be liable for potentially not having received the Answer or for the Answer having been lost for technical reasons, unless under applicable laws such liability may not be excluded. On the above terms, the Organizer shall not be liable for actions of any third parties related to the organization of the Contest and for damage caused by the submission by the Participants of erroneous, illegible, or outdated data.
4. Evaluation Rules & Procedure for Deciding about Contest Results
- The Jury shall decide with regard to the results of the Contest.
- The Answers shall be evaluated by the Jury based on the criteria of complexity.
- Any Answers sent after the expiry of the time limit or those failing to satisfy the criteria specified herein shall be rejected.
- The best Answer shall be awarded with the board game “The Witcher: Old World Deluxe Edition” (the Prize). The rest ranked outside the top shall not be awarded.
- The Jury’s decision may not be appealed against.
- The results shall be announced 11/11/2025 2:30 p.m. (GMT-5), at the VirtusLab stand #7. The author of the winning Answer shall be additionally informed thereof by e-mail to an e-mail address specified in the Form.
- The Prizes shall be given out to the winner if the winner is not present at the booth, the prize is going to the runner-up.
- The Jury reserves the right not to award any Prizes in the Contest.
5. Copyrights
- By sending the Form, all the Participants grant to the Organizer a non-exclusive license, free of charge, without any time or territorial restrictions, for using their works constituting the Answers, in the following fields of use:
- recording and multiplying with the use of any technique whatsoever,
- marketing and distributing copies thereof or other data storage media in any distribution channels,
- lending for use, rental, or lease of any copies,
- entering into a computer’s memory and storing in a computer’s memory,
- making them publicly available via IT and ICT networks, including the Internet and mobile telephony, for purposes related to the organization and promotion of the Contest and of the Organizer.
- The Participant whose Answer shall be selected as the winner shall transfer to the Organizer the author’s copyrights to their Answer upon the announcement of the results, without any separate representations to be made by the Parties, without territorial or time restrictions, unless applicable laws provide for the conclusion of a relevant written agreement.
- The author’s copyrights shall be transferred in the following fields of use:
- recording and multiplying with the use of any technique whatsoever,
- marketing and distributing any copies or other data storage media in any distribution channels,
- public display, broadcasting, rebroadcasting, and reproducing,
- lending for use, rental, or lease of any copies,
- entering into a computer’s memory and storing it in a computer’s memory,
- making publicly available via IT and ICT networks, including the Internet and mobile telephony.
- The transfer of the author’s copyrights shall also include the author’s consent to any elaborations of the Answer to be developed by the Organizer, as well as to their dissemination, including against payment.
- The transfer of the authors’ copyrights shall also include the author’s commitment not to exercise their moral rights to the Answer.
- By participating in the Contest and submitting the Form, the Participant represents that their Answer shall in no way infringe rights of any third parties.
- The transfer of the authors’ copyrights and giving further consent or granting permissions by the author shall be made against payment, where all the claims of the author against the Organizer for the transfer of the author’s copyrights shall be exhausted by means of handing over the Prize.
6. Technical Requirements
- Any Participants who have the technical capacity to connect to the Internet may participate in the Contest.
- The Participant’s ICT system should satisfy minimum technical conditions; i.e. a mobile browser in the updated version: Chrome or iOS Safari or a similar one, enabled acceptance of cookies, and access to the Internet.
7. Final Provisions
- In any issues not governed herein, the Polish law shall apply.
- Any complaints shall be sent to the Organizer’s address: events@virtuslab.com.
- These Rules shall take effect as of the date of their publication on the VirtusLab website.
