Where did the idea come from?
The idea was born in March when our company had to switch to full remote work due to a coronavirus pandemic. Then Paweł, one of our devs, began to publish specially prepared tips on our internal Slack channel #programming.
These guidelines have been published weekly and are related to various aspects of programming. Paweł’s golden tips are the result of his own struggles during coding. Among them were hints about Git, regular expressions, Unix shell, JVM, Docker, or date/time representation.
The whole cycle continues on our internal channel and is very popular among the #VLteam. It inspires discussion and a joint search for unique solutions. We can say, that it improves the daily work of our developers. Thanks, Paweł!
Sharing is caring
#VLTeam does its best to contribute to open-source projects and enhance software that is used by developers around the world. Due to the fact that we like to share our solutions with the community, we decided to start such a series of tips also for people outside of VirtusLab. The fruit of this is VirtusLab’s Pro Tip series.
Every Friday we will publish on our Facebook profile one of Paweł’s tips. You could also find them on Twitter.
We strongly encourage you to discuss & also share your tips!
