WHAT: Introduction to Apache Kafka
Virtusity is a training division of VirtusLab, founded in 2017. Currently, it acts as our exclusive, internal training unit. We offer the highest possible quality IT training by the #VLteam for the #VLteam. We’ve always booked several places for our community members – as VirtusLab wants to stay close & contribute to the local tech community.
Our next training will be launched online by Damian Krawiec (Software Engineer at VirtusLab). We will talk about the introduction to Kafka and the tooling. The training is aimed at people who never used Kafka before, or have a very brief understanding of it. During the three sessions, it will be explained where Kafka is most useful and how to use it to fit the case. Workshops will be focused on gaining practical knowledge on how to use Kafka tooling and how to solve typical problems.
Level: Novice, with basic knowledge of distributed systems and Scala

WHAT: An attack on Spring’s magic
During the presentation hosted by Krzysztof Kruczyński (Software Engineer at VirtusLab), an attempt will be made to attack component scan and servlets. This will be done with the use of a new functional API available in the fifth version of Spring, which in combination with Kotlin works as smoothly as a machine gun. As part of live coding, we will shoot bean configuration, endpoints and even security.

Kafka Summit is an event for data architects, engineers, DevOps professionals, and developers who want to learn about streaming data. Among great speakers there will be Daniel Jagielski – our Tech lead at VirtusLab, leading a team building identity management platform. Passionate about best practices in software design for distributed systems. Nowadays, focusing mainly on stream processing and event-driven reactive architectures using JVM based languages, Kafka, and Kubernetes.
